Black Thunder Fun and Heritage Train Ride

09:00 AM: Pickup from your location in Coimbatore and drive to Black Thunder theme park near Mettupalayam.

10:00 AM: Arrive at Black Thunder. Spend the morning enjoying the various water slides, wave pool, and other exciting rides.

01:00 PM: Have lunch at one of the restaurants inside the theme park.

02:30 PM: We head to Mettupalayam railway station to board the Nilgiri Mountain Railway.

03:00 PM: Embark on a scenic train journey to Coonoor. The historic steam engine train chugs through tunnels, bridges, and beautiful landscapes of the Nilgiri hills.

06:30 PM: Arrive in Coonoor. Our vehicle will pick you up from the station, and we will start our journey back to Coimbatore.

08:30 PM: You will be dropped off at your location in Coimbatore, concluding a day of fun and heritage.

  • For Black Thunder, it is mandatory to wear swimwear (nylon or lycra). Cotton clothes are not allowed in the water rides. For the rest of the day, comfortable casual clothing and walking shoes are recommended. You may want to carry a change of clothes.

  • The Nilgiri Mountain Railway tickets are subject to availability and need to be booked in advance. We will do our best to secure the tickets for you. In the rare case that tickets are not available, we will inform you and suggest an alternative plan or a full refund for the train part of the tour.

  • Yes, this tour is very suitable for families with children. Black Thunder has a dedicated kids' zone with smaller rides and pools. The train journey is also a magical experience for children. However, some of the bigger rides at the theme park have height restrictions.

  • Outside food and drinks are generally not allowed inside Black Thunder theme park. They have several food courts and restaurants inside the park where you can purchase a variety of food and beverages.

  • Black Thunder operates even during rain, as most of the attractions are water-based. However, some rides may be temporarily suspended during heavy rain or thunderstorms for safety reasons. The train journey is enjoyable in any weather, with misty and romantic views during the rain.
